Who can apply?

30 - 49 years old

 

With children pursuing further education in Sarawak or undergoing long term medical treatment in Sarawak.

40 – 49 years old

 

With a total amount of not less than Malaysian Ringgit (RM) 600,000 in real estate investment (for residential purpose in Sarawak)

50 years old and above

 

While spouse (if any) has no age limit.

Note: For more information on applicant eligibility, kindly refer “FAQ-SMM2H” and “SMM2H Application Guide”.

Step 1: Documents to be provided to us for the purpose of submission
  1. aMM2H Application form (Shall be signed by applicant)
  2. Social Visit Pass Form
  3. Personal/Security Bond Form
  4. BK Form (Medical examination in Sarawak) together with all medical test reports (Please leave it blank if you want Aglow Nexhome (MM2H) Sdn Bhd to be the sponsor)
    Note: Medical examination done outside of Sarawak will not be accepted
  1. Certified copy of passport* of applicant and their dependent
    Note: Certified copy of expired passport of the renewal of new passport was done within 12 months.
  1. Six (6) passport sized photographs (3.5 x 5.0 cm, blue background) of applicant and their dependent
  2. Certified copy of sponsor’s/licensed agent’s identity card*
  3. Cover letter from sponsor/licensed agent (Please leave it blank if you want Aglow Nexhome (MM2H) Sdn Bhd to be the sponsor)
  4. Certified copy of medical report* & RB II Form
    Noted: To be done in Government or Private Hospitals in Sarawak ONLY. For the latter, medical report must be endorsed by Government Doctor)
  5. Certified copy of marriage certificate if accompanied by spouse*
  6. Certified copy of birth certificate/Legal Documents if accompanied by children/adopted children/step children/parents*
  7. Certified copy of Fixed Deposit statement* (from any bank/financial institution in Sarawak)

    Note: Partial withdrawal (maximum 40%) from their fixed deposit account is allowed from second year onwards for real estate investment, purchase of vehicle, medical and education expenses ONLY. Approval has to be obtained from the Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture, Sarawak

    Applicant shall maintain a minimum balance in their fixed deposit account during their participation duration of the programme.

    Submit latest six (6) months saving account statements worth RM100,000 for couple or RM50,000 for individual (Overseas banks are acceptable) to replace financial proof of offshore income and pension.

  8. Letter of good conduct (only for principal applicant) from applicant’s country of origin

    Note: 
    Applicant shall submit all the required documents in person OR appoint a licensed agent to submit on their behalf.
Step 2: Immigration to conduct an interview with Sponsor and Applicant

Immigration to interview the personal sponsor and applicant. However, if a licensed agent is appointed by the applicant, the licensed agent shall be interviewed on behalf of the applicant.

Note:

  • *All copies must be certified by Embassy/High Commission/Lawyer/Notary Public/Commissioner of Oaths/Government Official (Immigration Department)
  • *Where original documents are not in English, translation must be done by a qualified translator
  • *All documents enclosed with the present application shall become the property of the Ministry of Tourism Sarawak

Note:

  • The S-MM2H application process by the authority will take ninety (90) working days or longer, from the date of submission.
  • An S-MM2H pass has a 10-year validity period. Pass holder will be given a maximum of 5 years and it can be extended for another 5 years (Refer to No.4).
  • The duration of the pass issued will be based upon applicant’s passport validity period. Therefore, applicant is advised to renew their passport validity period in order to be issued a 5-year S-MM2H visa pass.
  • Pass holder shall submit their application for pass extension in person at the immigration office and shall show proof of a 30-day stay (minimum) annually in Sarawak, their financial statements as well as new medical examination report, failing which the application for pass extension will be rejected.
  • S-MM2H pass holder is not allowed to work or conduct any business without a written consent from the Director General of Immigration Department.
  • Please be informed that the applicants shall be in Sarawak at least twice (Step 1 and 4) during the S-MM2H application process.
  • The sale and disposal of property is not allowed for the pass holder (Eligibility No.2) until the pass holder has reached the age of 50 or decided to terminate the S-MM2H pass.
